A lot of the times people ask me where to buy carnivorous plants. The majority of my plants have been purchased online, through several different online nurseries. I’ve never noticed or seen them before at local garden stores, so I never really bothered too.

The other day I was my local Lowes purchasing some moss and noticed a Cobra Lilys display above the Pepsi machine while I was checking out. I noticed they were in such good heath. I remembered reading about a controversy regarding people buying carnivorous plants at lowes, and felt a bit resentful. I really enjoyed their package design, certainly something you would want to keep and not just toss away. So I bought a few, thinking I’d save them from some newbie customer who’d eventually feed it tap water.
They’re only available in-store so next time your at a local Lowes, I would only check them out of you indeed plan on saving them. They also have some small Sarracenia, Sundews and of course, the common venus flytrap.
